Venus De Milo
Shoots a rifle with her feet
Beaded belly dancers
Shake the crowded street
But ten thousand years flow
Through her briny clay
Lest a hungry rat should eat my eyes
I cannot look away
So I'm going down
And stare at the river
She don't mind
She got a mouth that smooth and wide
I've seen her darker side
She got a freight train running through her veins
She keeps me satisfied
I know she'll never leave
She don't even change her mind
She's a danger when she grieves
And a savior when she smiles
So I'm going down
And stare at the river
These so called friends steal me blind
Spew lies straight in my face
She dips me in her loving arms
To cool my violent rage
I sway atop her canyon rim
Breath in her scented sprawl
My tender hand slips from the vine
But She catch me when I fall
So I'm going down
And stare at the river
She don't mind
She got a mouth that smooth and wide
I've seen her darker side
She got a freight train running through her veins
She keeps me satisfied
I know she'll never leave
She don't even change her mind
She's a danger when she grieves
And a savior when she smiles
So I'm going down
And stare at the river
